@KimberlyKWyatt speak about the Pussycat Dolls:

Pussycat Dolls

There have been many a success story surrounding former bands re-grouping and selling out worldwide, but our hopes for the Pussycat Dolls to dance back into our lives have been dashed by former ‘doll Kimberly Wyatt:

From what I know The Pussycat Dolls have reformed and there’s new girls and they’re going to give it another go. And we’re (Kimberly and Nicole Scherzinger) not involved in that.

“It is what it is. I loved the girls and if I ever had the chance to be on stage with them again, under wonderful circumstances, I would jump at the chance.” She told us.

We were sisters. We had a moment in time and it felt like destiny.”

Despite whispers that a rift between her and then- lead singer Nicole Scherzinger was the final nail in the coffin for the Pussycat Dolls, Got To Dance judge Kimberly has never truly explained why she left the group.

After her departure in early 2010, it was announced that the Pussycat Dolls were no more:

I always knew the ‘dolls was never going to be a career; it was going to be a platform. And since it’s ended, I feel that I’ve used that platform and made my own mark.

“Now I’m really living out my own passions, and becoming an individual in myself and my career.

Got To Dance

But life isn’t that bad for pretty blonde singer/dancer Kimberly as she is currently one of three judges on Sky 1’s dance show, Got To Dance.

Judging varied dance performances alongside Diversity hip hop dancer Ashley Banjo and Coyote Ugly star Adam Garcia, Kimberly gushes about her time on the show:

Being a part of Got To Dance has really allowed me the chance and opportunity to be seen, to be heard, and to be accepted.” Kimberly said.

Known for her famous standing-leg-splits dance move, Kimberly told us she was really enjoying watching all the routines on Got To Dance:

I think you can tell what you can expect from the moment a dancer steps on the stage. If they’re second guessing themselves- it’s going show in that first step that they take and continually into their dance.

Judging the competition

Winning a scholarship to study at New York’s Broadway Dance Centre, Kimberly is more than qualified to judge Sky’s dancing competition. But what was she looking for as they scoured the country for the UK’s next big thing?

You’re just looking for someone that has the confidence and that competitive edge to win a quarter of a million pounds. And then, it’s all in the training and preparation to give a great performance.” She told us.

“It’s someone that can embrace those nerves, let go of their thoughts and just live in the moment, live in the music and let themselves go and dance like it’s the last chance they’ll ever get. That’s what it takes to win.

In Sunday’s final, it will be decided who has won the much coveted 1st prize, of £250,000 cash. Were there any expectations set for the winners, or did they have carte blanche with the prize money?

It’s up to them, they can do what they want to do- but at the same time I would hope that they would take on the fact that they had been crowned Britain and Irelands best dance act and sort of invest in themselves, create opportunities and go out there- aspire to continually be the best and show off a bit- represent the dance world!

Angelina’s left leg

Finally, we quizzed leggy Kimberly about the world’s most famous limb of the moment- Angelina’s left leg. Having not heard of the furor, we explained the phenomena to her:

That is awesome. I love it!

“Next we’ll have Enrique’s mole on Twitter!

Pausing for reflection, reminding herself Enrique had it removed, she corrected herself:

Enrique’s ex-mole.
